Common questions
Why does Denomi need access to all websites?
Denomi has to read the text of a webpage to find prices. This happens on your device, and nothing from the page ever leaves it. You can limit access to specific sites in the same Safari settings.
Why wasn't a price converted?
Denomi only converts prices it can identify with certainty. It leaves these alone:
- Prices in images, PDFs, or some embedded content.
- Prices whose currency is unclear, such as a $ on a site that doesn't say which dollar it means.
- Prices already in your chosen currency.
- Checkout pages, forms, and input fields.
- Some prices built from several separate pieces of a page.
If you think a price should have converted, send the website address to support@getdenomi.com.
Where do the exchange rates come from?
Denomi uses daily-updated reference rates from Frankfurter, which publishes rates from central banks and official sources. Rates update about twice a day and are cached on your device, so conversion keeps working offline. The amount your bank or card issuer charges may differ.
How do I see the original price?
By default Denomi shows both prices. If you chose to show only the converted price, tap it to reveal the original. To restore a page completely, open Denomi from Safari's page menu in the address bar and turn it off for that page.
Does Denomi change what I'm charged?
No. Denomi only changes what you see. It never touches forms, checkout totals, or payments, and the shop still charges in its own currency.
Does Denomi work on iPad or Mac?
Denomi works on iPhone and iPad with iOS or iPadOS 17 or later. One purchase covers both. A version for Safari on Mac is coming soon.
How do I get a refund?
Purchases are handled by Apple. You can request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.
